 Human Rights Activity at GCMS

On the 6th December, at the Gozo College Middle school, the student council organised an activity related to the Human Rights. The students were invited to write down no hate messages and attached them to the board to commemorate this day.

The student council members, teachers involved, youth worker and the Learning zone staff were all busy throughout the week preparing heart shape marshmallow rice crispies cakes that represent love, to be distributed during this activity. This project was all funded by Agenzija Zghazagh to celebrate this day and join with the No hate speech campaign. The campaign seeks to decrease the levels of acceptance of hate speech, online and offline. It combats hate speech in all forms, including those that most affect young people, such as cyber-bullying and cyber-hate. The campaign is based on human rights education, youth participation and media literacy. The aim of this activity was to bring more awareness among our students and to be more tolerant in front of each other.
